The History Of Football

The most accepted story behind football’s origin is that the game was developed in England in the 12th century. Games that resembled football were played extensively on roads and meadows in England. Besides kicks, the game used to involve punches of the ball with the fist. This nascent form of football was much more rough and violent than the modern-day game. An important forerunner of the game was that the games involved plenty of people and took place in large areas, which caused damage to the town and sometimes even death. These led to proclamations against the game that finally got it forbidden for several centuries. But the games returned to the same streets in the 17th century.
