Happy Tuesday Morning to you Cougar Fans!

First of all, in the last few hours this here blog has eclipsed 1,000,000 visitors. For that, Shane, Tim, Adam, Sutra, Myself and of course Sean, owe you our sincere gratitude. You are the ones who keep us going, and here is to another million visitors!

Today I am not going to bore you with more banter about the Halliday vs Lobster debate, but instead, want to take a look at our Men's Basketball team who squared off with Gonzaga. For those Geriatric readers of our's, it's highly unlikely you saw the game as it tipped off at Midnight EST as part of ESPN's 24 Hour Tipoff Marathon. If you took Broadcast Management with Glenn Johnson while you were an undergraduate, you are aware that putting a program that will likely have low ratings, after a program that has high ratings, that is called a Tent Pole in "the biz."

So thanks to the Packers beatdown of the Vikings on Monday Night Football, it's likely we got some solid national exposure to start the season.

Lots of questions as the program appears to be in a transition year. For the first time since the 2008-2009 season, we are without the services of Klay Thompson and DeAngelo Casto. Unless of course, you count Senior Night last season when KT was suspended for smoking pot in his SUV, or the time Casto nearly missed the Northwestern game when too was busted for marijuana possession.

Hope that off-the-court drama is behind us. In-fact, I heard Coach Bone brought in a renowned expert in moral development to work with the guys this off-season.

Click the jump to get my thoughts on last night's game.

doc-holiday2"You're a dandy if you do."

So the pun-a-thon has begun and I am here to settle it once and for all. After a debut for the ages on Saturday night Connor Halliday has earned the right to have a nickname, just like Frank “Magic” Madu. The only one suitable for a gunslinger like Connor… Doc Halliday. There, its settled. So how about that performance by Doc Halliday the other night? We haven’t gone bombs away on a real opponent like that since the Brink-to-Hill days. Heck, even then did we really ever blitzkrieg a secondary like that? Besides Halliday and Wilson joining Montana and Rice, Corsby and Malkin and O’Brien and Richter on the list of the most devastating duos of all time… a lot of crazy stuff happened on Saturday.

Here we are once again Cougar Fans, with another addition of Football Friday on a Thursday. This time, it's Week Eleven Style.

Three weeks left in the season for our Cougs including this one, that features the Sun Devils heading north, after being upset in the Rose Bowl last week.

Not good news for our team, who seems to play the best team in the conference every week.  I swear, I've heard that one from our coach in his weekly presser, after every one of our losses.

You can find our picks after the jump, but first, here's an update of our Pick Em Leagues.

In League One, St Pete Cougs still leads the way at 237 points, and is followed by The General at 234 and Cougar Country Fry Sauce at 228. Over in League Two, the leaders are unchanged, with Hawaiian Hentai holding down the top spot, and followed by CWhite, Selah Coug and Softy Makes Me Puke. Keep up the good works folks!
