Better Late Than Never

Happy Tuesday evening Cougar Fans.
We would be remiss if we didn't get you a few good notes from around the Coug-a-Sphere, and apologies for not getting this out sooner, it was clearly a busy day for all of us.
First of all, some how this interview totally slipped through the cracks, but Mike Leach joined the Calabro Show last week from his home in Florida. Seriously, I guess three straight days doing stuff for my cousin's wedding truly kept me off my normal digest Crimson News. The interview can be found beginning just before the 24:00 minute mark, click here.
Not a bad interview! Then again, is there ever a bad Leach interview?
In-case you missed it this afternoon, former Coug TE, Jed Collins joined Ian and Jason in-studio over at KJR. Then, Jeff Tuel called into the show and chatted with Ian, Puck and Jedzilla.
Interesting question for Tuel, right off the bat from Jed. He asked Tuel about the game he could have back thus far in his career, and he mentioned UCLA in 2010. I vividly remember that game, as I was en route to The Gorge to see Jack Johnson, and we were listening to Bob Rob's call on the radio. It's also seared in my memory because the picture Jeff mentions is saved on my computer and is part of my screensaver!

The absolutely worst part about that call? Furney comes out and hits the PAT, which put us up by 14, and then as we're lined up for the Kick Off, the referees blow the whistle, decide to review the play (didn't think they could), overturn the TD, we don't score on 4th and Goal and UCLA goes 99 yards to tie the game! If that doesn't sum up the Paul Wulff Era, I don't know what does!
Tuel also shared some of his insight about his recent trip to Louisiana to take part in the Manning Passing Academy.
Also, I always love to hear Bob Rondeau making a great on-air call for the Cougs, you get a great one with that lead-in.
A few more things before I get out of here.
Some great photos of the Martin Stadium Renovation from Joe Doyle over at Cougfan surfaced last night and can be found here.
Anyways, all for today, don't forget to check back in the morning for Hump Day With Huddy!
Cheers.
