Gimme Something to Believe In...

Well, so much for sweet revenge. The game we had circled on our calendar since the notorious officiating debacle in Pullman on New Year's Eve turned out to be one more juicy bite of the enormous sh-t sandwich that was... the 2009/10 basketball season. Last place. Oh, and in case you haven't had enough, we get to lose to the Ducks AGAIN on Wednesday.Yay. Since I can't drink as much as I want to right  now and still keep my job/girlfriend/house/pants on in public, I am going to turn to the only thing left to us Coug fans in this darkest of hours... Donny Marbut's baseball team. Come on baseball team, you're all we've got left! And we desperately need something to believe in!

we don't play the ducks on Wednesday. We play Stanford because USC took itself out of the tournament. After that we play Cal if we can win against Stanford.
Sure about that?

The Ducks (15-15, 7-11 Pac-10) and Cougars (16-14, 6-12) meet again Wednesday in the first round of the Pac-10 tournament in Los Angeles (8:10 p.m., FSN).

It's definitely Oregon, Viking. After many tiebreakers it has been determined that Stanford sucks just a wee bit less.

Good news is, we are the winningest last place team ever. Let's print some shirts!

Sorry I jinxed the baseball team. Now 9-1 after falling to Utah today at Bailey Brayton. There is no joy in Mudville.
this is confusing!

When i look at the standings Stanford should be who we are playing. looking at the official bracket, you are right. it is Oregon we play. I will never understand these stupid tie breakers. Why can't it be more straight forward.
Yeah, my bad...

Longball, fear not. It was I that jinxed the team by my mere presence. I figured today would be the day when the Cougs' bats lit up against the Utes' 4th pitcher. However, the Crimson Swords went silent this afternoon.
