That is great news, that should lock up Motum I would think and should continue the Australian connection.
I hear that Selah, it is great news. Also, Bone said he would be going to Australia himself to meet with Motum, and of course, on Saturday he will be meeting with Thames. He told Ian he "feels good" about the ability to bring those guys here. However he DID say that if they want out, Sterk WILL grant them their release. Bone has already talked to all four recruits, with Anthony Brown still coming for sure (although Chadwick has officially been given his release). It's down to Motum and Thames.
In related news, Dissmores will continue to stock Fosters.
Awfully sophmoric of U Grady....
Please don't hate me for this...but do we really need/want Chadwick anyway? I'll admit to now knowing EVERYTHING about the kid, but...
Chadwick has said he is still interested, but wants to leave his options open. I think he might re-commit if T-bone doesn't want/need him at UVa.
Chadwick is an all-state forward in North Carolina and many analysts say he has a lot of upside (re: high major). I don't why we wouldn't want him...
*know whysorry, writing a paper... lol
Who knows with Chadwick? Releasing him from his letter would be it for me though. Why release him only to have to re-romance him? It's like breaking off an engagement, because she wants to keep her options open, but hang in there buddy, YOU are still in it!? He better be worth the effort if they go through the ringer. But Chadwick has the Bennett family connection and I can't see how we could trump that, you know? Getting Motum and obviously Thames is just huge. But getting Brown to come is big. In-state all-state guy from Spokane, it just looks good to keep him in the fold. I was very impressed with Bone on the radio shows today. Very relaxed, yet confident and sure of himself. More impressive than the press conference but guys like him always do better with stuff like that. He sounded very confident that everyone on the team is excited by where they are going and everyone in staying in Pullman, but also in his ability to not only keep the commitments but also recruit the puget sound region for years to come.In his interview with Kevin Calabro on KIRO, he said something interesting. He said during the team workout they had the other morning, nobody on the team knew how to do on-the-ball screens, pick and rolls, stuff like that! He said they were great at off-the-ball screens, getting shooters loose coming off those screens, etc. But he said he had to tell them to do it. With Casto and Thompson you can look forward to more on-the-ball screens/pick and rolls. Sounded like he is going to shake things up a little bit, and when you think about our long "stenches" of scoring last year, anything to get more creative offensively was welcome to my ears!
Sedi, good stuff. His comments on KJR sounds eerily similar to Wulff's comments last year when talking about the O and D lineman not knowing how to get into a proper 3-point stance. Pretty basic stuff that just wasn't being emphasized. If he can keep up the defensive pressure and open up the offensive side of the ball a little they can be very dangerous in a couple years.
Sigh.No wonder our offense was horrible...
I've been to Chadwick's daddy's church several times in Charlotte. You would think that a faith kid like that would honor his word, but I guess you never can tell what kind of nutty stuff he might have in his head.
