I heard from Sutra today, and he openly asked why, exactly, would they not televise the WSU - Arizona game? They heard you my friend, loud and clear, as Fox Sports College and FSN Northwest have picked that sucker up. Ok, so it's Fox College Sports. Not sure if we will get a big check outta that one? As Bud Withers wrote on Wednesday, just because you are ON THE TV doesn't exactly mean you get a big fancy check, know what I mean?
That said, I really wonder if there still might be a money-making opportunity here for WSU. OK, so the networks don't like us. Fair enough, I mean 3-17 the last year-plus in a small media market doesn't exactly scream RATINGS, does it? But at the very least, I wonder what would it take to get all the Pac-10 games streamed online? Other schools have done this, even Oregon up here in the northwest have made some home games available on "DuckVision" or whatever they call it (more like YuckVision). I know I'd pay $10 or so to have the game stream on my PC screen, at least if there was no other alternative to see it. If you've been to a WSU home game lately, you know that they show basically the entire game on the big screen, utilizing the in-stadium cameras. Why not stream that feed with the radio broadcast over the top of the video? Oh, I'm sure there are many bells-n-whistles and bright, shiny objects that prevent this from happening. And the logistics are far too complex for my simple mind in understanding the difficulty in pulling something like this off......but still, doesn't it at least seem like the technology not only exists, but is already in place to make it happen?
Speaking of video, another week, another TV show, chalk full of on-the-field highlights from the Cal game. I also included some of the better sound bytes from coach Wulff's talk with Jen Mueller.
Good to see the Arizona game picked up, the radio just doesn't do the video justice. Really hoping we can be competitive against ND this weekend, they seem to play down or up to whoever they're against, so hopefully this will help our situation.
And that part with Forzani is hilarious! hahahahahahaha!

Big South Sports Streaming written by Keydet,
October 29, 2009
I'm a Virginia Military Institute grad and I'm able to watch my lovable losing Keydets on Big South Conference Sports website every week. It's about $5 a game or you can get an entire season pass. I know they also show everything from women's lacross to basket weaving too. It was the same web-based media player that the "Duck-o-rama-vision-quack" network used that we all watched for like a 1.99$. Maybe the Pac-10 could do a whole conference deal. Then we could watch more obscure sports as well. Maybe even the women's rugby team that was playing in fairy costumes on homecoming weekend...
