Good afternoon Cougs.  Some stuff to get to this Monday, so here we go:

Jason Stripling is in some hot water.  Kind of an odd deal, but he was arrested and suspended from the team for a fight of some kind on Saturday night.  Charged with fourth-degree assault and obstructing a public servant(?), Stripling is done for now.  We'll see what happens when more details come out, but the senior linebacker may have played his last game in crimson 'n' gray.

Meanwhile, here's our weekly blog ballot.  Nothing earth-shattering, but we're still riding the Florida-Texas 1-and-2 step.  And USC takes a huge tumble:

Last week's ballot

Dropped Out: South Florida (#23), West Virginia (#24).

Finally, something completely off-topic, yet a little fun/funny to take your mind off the dreariness of today.  Remember Dock Ellis?

Maybe you do, maybe you don't, but he's famous for one huge thing - THROWING A NO-HITTER WHILE HIGH ON LSD as a member of the Pittsburgh Pirates in 1970!  It's a classic.  Anyway, someone put up a youtube video with the story, as told by Ellis, with some really funny animation to go with it.  Check it out, it's worth it:

All for now.  Enjoy the rest of your day, and GO COUGS!
