Just a gutty performance on both sides of the ball for both teams. But man did we get beat up.

Personally, I thought Tony's decision to go zone was WAY too late, but at least he got off his rocker and did what needed to be done to win the game.

One thing is for sure, we aren't going to see Stanford again unless its the Final Four.

Man are they good or what?

And our kids battled. But, like it was posted earlier today, we get KILLED by teams that crowd us. And that will be what we will see in the tournament. If we back cut and cross screen we'll be a real, real tough out.

On the plus side, you saw Harmeling come out a bit tonight and Weaver, despite some TO's, played big as well.

So, sit back and wait for the draw. My call is a #5 seed.

But rest easy Coug Nation, we WILL win our first round game. Its the second one that we really, really need to worry about.

Until Sunday.

Its been a great ride these seniors have taken us on. A sweet 16 would be a helluva way to cap it off.

It has been a great ride. I will do all I can to enjoy it as long as it lasts.

How will we do? It is all about the match-ups. But it's funny, Brinkhater and I were talking about all the tough teams out there that could end our season in a heart-beat, but the reality is, you DON'T HAVE TO PLAY EVERY TEAM! Only worry about what is in front of you. It's easy to get caught up in that before the brackets are even announced, but every team this week is a mere 4-game winning streak from making the Final Four. It's a good perspective to have right now.

By the way, anyone notice how many tournament teams we've beaten this year?

@Boise State
@Baylor (bubble team?)
Portland State (hey, they made it).
USC twice
Oregon three times (if they make it)
ASU twice (they're probably in)

Not too shabby now that the season has played itself out. That's potentially 11 total wins in games against tournament teams. Not bad at all. At the beginning of the year, who knew Boise State, Portland State, and maybe Baylor would be in? I also like the stat that only Carolina has more road/neutral wins than WSU this year. So it's not like we're a home court team. I just hope we can use what happened last year and get past the first weekend, but we'll see!

You left off the best tournament win on our resume. Yep, we beat an NCAA Toruney team by, get this, 45 points! Yes, our little friends from Mississippi Valley State are in the tournament after beating Jackson State in a 59-58 thriller. And don't forget that our win was at a neutral site. If that doesn't push us to a 4 seed, nothing will :) (kidding)
